Monaro lights for VX Berlina
Wanting to upgrade to Monaro rear lights.
Whats the go with the central piece at the back of my VXII.
Can I replace with a painted panel to look like the monaro rear?

Yes you can do exactly that, with a plain one from a regular VX. I'm sorry, I don't see why anybody would ever want to make that conversion?

I'm pretty sure the Monaro lights have a different wiring harness. You may need to buy the harness to put them in..

Spend the extra dough if you must.I find a little alteration can fix things in most cases.

Looks like I may be confused with this conversion.
From what you guys are saying, I take it that if I am to add Monaro lights leave the VX garnish on, correct?
Or are you suggesting that changing to Monaro lights is a silly idea all together?

No, you wouldn't leave the current garnish on. Yes, we think its a silly idea alltogether because most people think that the Berlina/Calais/HSV back end looks better than the Exec, SS etc..
Your car is a Berlina why would you want to downgrade it like that or make it look like every second commodore you see on the street?
Fair enough if you think it looks better, but yeah we don't agree thats all!

Depends on you mate.. If you like the look, go for it. You're the one driving it everyday.. Not other forum members..

All suggestions appreciated.
I will be keeping the rear end as is, seems easier aswell as maintaining original body. Springs, Rims, Exhaust will be main focus this month.
I'll post photos soon.
Thanks all
Quick story over the weekend.
My brother got his hands on the last Black Thunder Ute last week ready for pickup saturday. Both excited with the recent purchase of a new car each we were going to head to a nice spot for a quick photo and a nice cruise.
Keys were handed over and we headed out the front to the new rig, only to find some idiot who's daughter was test driving a Barina had backed into the side of the Thunder, Wanka.
