ok this is my VX S2 acclaim im thinking of getting either a VX ss bodykit or a monaro style bodykit on it now its lowered pretty low & just wondering what everybody thinks about these two kits & if i was to put one one of these kits would i have to get it raised?
and if some one could photoshop them on that would be great cause i dont no how to thanks

i voted no kit, i just reckon it will look tougher without the kit & low, also, you wont have to worry about smashing side skirts on speed humps

IMHO the VX SS is the best looking Commodore to date. As for smashing the sills, I think you will be doing serious underbody damage to your exhaust and other underbody components before you hit the sills. I never had a problem with either the VX SS or VYSS. Assuming it's lowered legally you should have no problems.

i own the same car, xvII acclaim, im quite happy with the stock kit. if i stumble across an SS lip for the bumper ill get one but given that they dont look too bad as stock ide be quite happy to leave it.
if u do wanna kit it tho, definatly go the SS kit over the monaro. de badge the ecotec v6 badges and it'll look shmich
afterthought: have u considered a spoiler?

Vx Ss
Hey,
I think the VX SS kits look the nicest aye. The bloke that i bought my VT off put an SS kit on it and it looks alot classier than the others IMO. Heres a few pics of mine.
Cheers, Shaun.

for those interested .... mine is pure VX Executive Series 1 under that!
The side skirts just clip over the grey bits, as does the bit at the back bottom of the bumper.
The front bar is genuine SS, as are the lights / fog lights, genuine SS spoiler and genuine SS 17" rims.
The car had the stuff (except the front bumper) on when I brought it so I dunno how much it costs, but it does the trick! Looks good too, many mistake it for the real deal.

The SS kits DO look nice, considering the 'stockness' of the car - I wouldn't be going the monaro. Is the S kit the same or is it slightly different? If it was different, I'd be going for that. Changes the body just enough to look sleek (I have an acclaim too, and would love to get a very basic kit to get rid of the crappy black skirting) and it won't give people the impression you're going for an SS or power look.
