Hey guys,
Just looking into my first service and interested in how you guys jack up your car to do work underneath. After jacking what is the bets supports to use to hold the car up?
I haven't had much of a look but due the lack of height between the body and ground there seems little clearance to use ramps? I have a VT station wagon.
i use 2 wooden planks and drive onto 2 concrete besser blocks...
I use ramps on mine all i do it drive the car up onto one brick a side which gets it a bit higher and then place the ramps in front of them and up onto the ramps and that way the front and rear bumpers never get ripped off and they are clear of the ramps
i cant use trolley jacks as i cant get them underneath it so ramps are the best option for me![]()

Depends. If you want to get the car's weight off the suspension or if you need to remove the road wheels then you need to use a jack and car stands. If you are just after some clearance to work on other things (eg. exhaust) then car ramps with boards to get the car up the first two steps without damaging the bumpers are the go.
