The speedo moves?

just noticed while trying to find a noise in my g/f's VT (no noise dont know what drugs she's on) if i rev the car above 4000rpm the speedo neadle moves to about 20km even though im stationary, trippy ay?

this is caused by the output shaft in the transmission vibrating when you rev it causing the tone wheel to move near the speed sensor, this makes the speedo move.

i thought it might be something like that. i also though the speedo was all electornic. aw well another useless peace of knowledge is acumulated. thand you DR. Bob

speedo is all electronic, the signal is generated at the trans output shaft
