Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem with their climate control.
The fan has stopped working on every setting except "high". The four manual speeds don't work and neither do the auto speeds. It can be a stinking hot day and the temp set to 18 yet the fan wont blow at all. If i try to adjust it manually the first four speed settings don't do anything but the next one, "high" does blow at high speed, so at least I know the fan itself is working.
Seems like whatever controls the fan speed is busted. Having a look around the forums looks like it could possibly be fan resistor/amplifier or possibly a fuse or relay.
Anyone with a similar prob know what's broke, or how much the bastards at holden will charge to fix it?![]()
You got it, being climate control, the fan speed amplifier needs replacing, Takes about 20 mins to do,
Have a go yourself.
According to my Gregory's, it's most probably a faulty Ventilation Motor Control in a model with climate control. It would be the fan speed resistor in a non climate control model. Replacing the resistor is not too difficult, but my manual doesn't explain the removal of the Ventilation Motor Control .
