Hi all,

As the title suggests, I think I need new front wheel hub bearings. (A groan when cornering in some directions, some light vibration through the steering wheel etc etc)

It is an exec with no ABS.

Any idea of prices for parts/parts and labour? Is it a diy job or better to leave it to the mechanics?

thanks all! :D

That's a good price, last time I checked the price for the hub assembly it was around $300.

hmm... cool!

yeah sno i read about how it is the assembly, i should have said hub assembly! Ah im sure everyone would work it out anyway!

i'm assuming your olymic edition would have ABS? that would make it cost more/less?

I hope I dont need both done, i cant remember which way I am turning when it happens, but should it be groan turning right = left wheel hub as that is the side the car is rolling towards? (and vice versa for turning left)

just make sure if you are replacing the left hub... buy the left hub and double check that its the left hub...... you cant interchange to the right side hub ... they are different cos of the ABS brake sensors... i'm sue i read this in my manual..

ciaranvt.. I dont have abs and I wouldnt know whether this makes a difference. I would get a tyre specialist to do it, less headaches. Just to let you know I bought the hub assembly from repco and it was rrp - not on sale..
