Is there an easier way of getting the code for my stock cd player in my vt, rather than having to go to a dealer with ownership information.
the code isnt printed anywhere on the car is it?

It was only printed on the security card which came with the owners manual when the vehicle was purchased new.

Holden will charge you for the info approx. $25.

some dealers will do it free, it all depends on the mood & how you ask.

Also sometimes its written on the inside of the owner manual if the previous owner had to get it for some reason :thumbsup:

i got my code from dealer to days ago cost me nothing.

I too have rang a couple of different dealerships to get the security code of the few stock stereo's i have had in my cars, and as long as you can quote the vin code of the car over the phone they will just go onto the database and tell you the code! No charge involved, if you do get charged it must be for their piss money! lol
