i own a 99 series 2 vt auto and wanting to convert it into manual dose anyoen no what parts i woudl need and about how much im looking at
Probably a few threads on it already, but to start with I would say manual box, crossmember, driveshaft (or modify auto shaft), manual pedal box, clutch slave cylinder, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, manual wiring loom, hydraulic lines, computer modification, manual console. Wouldnt have a clue of parts price, ring around a few wreckers see whats available. There are probably a few extras that I have missed that someone can add. But hopefully that will give you a rough idea of what your up for. Also I am assuming that you want to keep your car and not sell to purchase a manual VT.
Cheers
Mick
i had the same idea with my vt berlina, best place to sell the full kit is malwood automotive in QLD. i think it was about $5000 with EVERYTHING u need to change it over
LOCK-HER
thats seems pretty expensive, i went the way of the wreckers when i converted my slow ass eb fairmont auto to 5spd, drive in drive out was only $2500 or $2700 they did all the work and never had an issue in the 8 months i had it before i sold it.
i've been thinking about converting the calais to a 5spd but not at 5k thats just plain robbery
