First question...
How legal are you planning on keeping ur ride?
if u want it straight n narrow, the ultra's and the carbon fibre bonnet are both no-no's.
I'm pretty sure the Diff between FE2 and SL is an inch lower on the SL's
About the ultras...
I'm always confused what people consided ultra low...
Is SSL ultra low or SSSL?!?
Pretty much a rule of thumb is...
LOW = FE2
SL = 1 inch lower than FE2
SSL = 2
SSSL = 3
Though someone feel free to correct me caus im not 100% on these figures
Laters
O ok didnt know carbon fibre was illegle haha, o well i baught a set of SLs today... put them in tomorrow, cheers Jester![]()
Yeah, carbon fiber and fibre glass bonnets are not legal as the bonnet is considered as part of the cars structure and crumple zone...
Cool, hope all goes well tomorrow mate!

As far as I know Fibreglass bonnets are not illegal. As the bonnet is not a main support. Just the same as your front bumper!Yeah, carbon fiber and fibre glass bonnets are not legal as the bonnet is considered as part of the cars structure and crumple zone...
I heard the same about fibreglass, if any one has heard different let me know as my cuz is getting a new bonnet for his ute and were looking at getting me one at the same time
I think i read somewhere that if its structured properly and is double skinned then it might pass as legal...
Safe option, just ring the local cop shop or road authority (eg. Vicroads) and ask them...
THen you'll have a straight black and white answer!
