inner tire wear (in some, i was unlucky ) make sure the leathers in good nic, motor, body etc.
i paid 13,200 for mine about 8 months ago with 144K on it, from a car yard.
umm personally i'd go for the series 2 with the 5.7 i find the 5L in the calais just doesn't pull it weight like it should but thats just me.
anyway it still a sick car and surprisingly draws a bit of attention

I'd go for the series 2 as well... I only have the V6, but the series two is just a little more refined (just a little), plus I'd go a 5.7 over a 5.0 anyday, but thats up to personal preference.

Also, series 1 VT's (alot of them) had problems with lights, globes going out really quickly. This was fixed in the series 2. My dad's old VT 1 had that problem, so do alot of my friends with VT1s

    But wait... There's more!!

    But that's not all!!!

I found the 5 litre cheaper and easier to work on for a start.
The gen 3 was good, no doubt about that but i'd prefer to spend money on a 5 ltr.
Then again mate, i wasn't after huge power either, my cars were both really just cruisers so i went for looks and that, plus the 5 litre had a heaps better note to it!

^ with a half decent exhaust I've seen the Gen3 make a few little kid cry on start-up

Little kid being one of my cousins... Jus wait till he turns 18/21 haha

Plus when you put the foot down a bit in a gen3 you get that beastyness

    But wait... There's more!!
