Default VXSS Bodykit, a few questions.

Hi guys, i'm only new here, but thought i'd ask a couple questions after coming up empty on searches.
On the weekend i bought myself a full SS bodykit, wasnt planning on changing the exec, but the price was right, it was all genuine parts, and it was already painted and it matched, so bargain.
Does anybody know, with the fog lights, ive been told you can get either fog lights, or driving lights, which look and fit the same, but the driving lights r brighter. Is this true or r they all just foggies?
Another thing, i had a look under the car, but i couldnt make out if the wiring for them is already there, but does any1 know if the wiring for them is already part of the standard loom setup?

Another thing too, i wana remove the black side strips, but i was told its easy by some people, and other strongly suggest otherwise...
I heated up the short length under the side blinker and tried to take it off, but i got about an inch into it, and theres a black rubbery glue, and it looked like it had taken paint off, problem is now, ive stuck it back the best i can, but it's still lifted a bit. Has any1 else done this successfully, and did it take any of your paint off, and did u end up getting it looking the same as the rest of the paint and got all the grimy stuff off?

Thanks guys, i got a few more questions, but that'll do it for now.

    ok from experience

My car is a VX Exec Series 1 which had the kit on it except for the front bar which I fitted myself.

    - Mine (2001) had the wiring there for the fog lights, I believe they all do. Open the bonnet, pop the relay cover off which sits to the left and have a look. Theres a spot there between 2 relays for a Fog Light relay or similar, have a look directly at it, if theres 3 silver clips for a relay to clip into then youve got the wiring

    - The wiring from memory was tucked up against the radiator on the drivers side and clipped into position on the passenger side. It took some looking but they were there, they have a grey roundish plug leading to no where.

    - Holdens lights are fog lights. Driving lights are whats fitted to driving light bars, usually those big buggers you see on police cars for instance (but their getting smaller) and are super bright. Ive never heard of a driving light that mounts in the fog light section of the Holden bumper bars, but I could be wrong. More then likely tho whatever fitted there will be classed as a fog light.

    - the fog light switch sits under your headlight switch. If the relay clips are there then the switch wiring harness will be 2. Theres 2 when you take the dash off, one is for TC and one is fog light. Before I got the SS dash I cut out a hole in the Exec grey dash and it fitted perfectly.

    - Dont know about the side rubber things, mine were already done when I got the car.

Awesome thanks for your reply, when i looked under the front bumper it was only a brief look, so yah hopefully im in the same boat as you and its all there. Did u have to take the dash off to find the right place to dill the hole for the switch? dd u use the genuine holden one?

Had a look in the fuse box yesty. That relay in my car is a spare slot, theres none already wired in, so i'm guessing i dont have the wiring already installed.
How difficult would it be to get an auto electrician to wire it all up? Is there a way that anybody knows of, where u can wire the fog lights into the existing switch, but without using the high beam like you do with driving lights?
