Are you talking about sensa-trac shocks ?

I have used these in the past on a V6 Mitsi V3000 (magna), but they didn't last the distance when compared to Munroe GT Gas.

I have just replaced all 4 shocks/struts on my VT Calais with GT Gas and I can't believe how good they are.

My car now handles like a light little 4 cylinder car instead of the heavy loose feel I used to get with it. The difference is awesome. Breaking is greatly improved.

I couldn't recommend GT Gas higher

Ive got GT Gas in my car atm, but i did have the sensa tracs in my previous VN, i recon they were alot better ride than the GT's but didnt last as long but were alot more comfortable.

Peter: Yeah there's no better place for a father and son to really get to know each other then a ball game.
Brian: Ah where is Stewie?
(Cut to Stewie sweating and stuck in the car in the parking lot with all the windows up)
Woman: Is that a baby in there?!
Man: Oh My God... He's gonna miss the ball game.

Maybe consider something like KYB (Japanese) or Boge (German). Munroe used to be good, but their quality has gone downhill and they have switched to plastic componentry. You may find that you may also be able to get other brands for a similar price, or sometimes cheaper.

I had Munroe in my VT seadan with standard springs at standard height. They felt good for the first 8 - 10,000kms then got worse very quickly. I had them out of my car by 25,000km. Out of the car you could move the front struts up and down like a mop in a bucket. I'll never use them again. I've gone KYB and at 20,000km latter I'm still impressed.

Im in the process of changing my VT Calais shocks as well. Just changed my rears tonight, the monroe's i took out were rooted. I could push them in and out with no effort what so ever.

Replacing front + Rear with KYB Excel-G. Made a huge diff in the rear when i took it for a test drive just before. But then i guess i actually have shocks again not just useless metal.

For a lowered car:
Front Struts = $250 for pair
Rear Shocks = $98 for pair.

Thats from Tubular Suspension systems posted out for $28 with a heap of other stuff.

I had Koni Adjustables in my last car they are a nice choice too but aren't cheap
