Default Write - Off VT SS

Hey all, after writing off my VN and decided to jump forward and get a VT SS i picked up from the auction at brisbane. it was hit hard in the front pushing the radiator over the block and kinking the k frame, after hours hard work ( i am a panelbeater) i got the car straight again, here are the pics of my new baby.

I was having an argument with my missus and she said "You don't even know what love is!"
"Sure i do, its that white stuff."

    Check it out!

very nice mate, no-one would be the wiser. how much did you pick it up for if you dont mind me asking? you could probably sell it off and make a fair profit.
    good luck with it

At the salvage auctions, the vehicles are placed in one of two catagories. Repairable Write-Off, and Statutory Write-Off. Repairable ones are those that the damage isn't too bad, and can be fixed and then the vehicle can be re-registered. Statutory ones are where the extent of the damage is that bad, under no circumstances can the car be re-registered. No matter how much or well, you repair it. Statutory write offs are only good for parts.

The way they catagorise them is quite interesting. You might see a car with next to no damage, but yet is a statutory write off. It may be that the car has been submerged in water, which puts it in the stat catagory.

    good job

as long as ur rails are straitgh , the kink on the k frame can be a bitch sometimes , a friend usally replaces the kframe for 100% job.

i had mine the same way but at the rear end , it was ok to fix but istead desided to get another short rear and it come up really nice.

here in Vic the job have to be 101% as its alot of coverment reculations and have to get a certificate b4 registration.

    enjoy ur new ride!!
