Hey guys one of my foggies in the S-pack is cracked bad...now i've changed all my headlights to xenon (do a bit of night driving and 100% worth it!)...now the only problem is that the foggies wreck the white light...can i get xenon replica lights for my car like lens and body and everything, or even just the bulbs? if u do know of them what stores can get them...i'm checking with the guys at supercheap tomorrow maybe.
also where can i get bright white parkers...i hate the yellow ones!!!...
cheers dudes.
Need some parts for my VH 253:
Green standard steering wheel...Green lower B-pillar covers.
Green sunglasses holder/lower dash bits...Air-con and assorted engine bay parts.
PM with any info.
Whats involved in changing standard headlights to xenon headlights??
As for changing your foggies, all i know is that you can get blue/white globes for them made by narva or philips.
As for your parkers, i've got philips ones, they are a blue globe but they give off a white light. I've also seen LED parkers from supercheap in a range of colours.
Hope that helps mate![]()
i bought some imitation xenon foggies from kmart, look kinda blue/white, but not overly powerful. mite post some pix if i remember.

Hey mate, you can buy led parker globes from repco and the like. i got white and it looks awesome over stock, fits in with my ultra white globes well.
I went and got Xenon replicas, and they arnt that bright but have that wicked blue tinge! Plus I got blue LED parkers to set it off![]()
Yeah id be keen to know this aswell as i drive 20km home in the dark every night on a country road.
Can you just put xenon globes into stock headlights on a vx and get the benefits from it?
Globed for SS foglights would be good too.
yeah if u look at supercheap u will see they have standard globes, ultrabright glodes and xenon globes...no difference in size or anything just blue colour and different gas inside...i just couldnt find any decent parkers at supercheap ( i work next door to them so i'm always there)...but yeah i'll have to measure my fog lights size and go searching for some bright ones!

So these globes aren't anymore powerful?? Just got different gas inside them?? If you get slightly more powerful globes does that damage anything??
I'm pretty sure the globes in the fog lights are exactly the same as the high beam ones therefore you can get standard yellow globes or white/blue ones or i guess xenon ones like standard headlight globes
i know this is gonna be really silly on a commodore forum, but check out this issue of autosalon magazine, they have some popular lights, their colour and brightness rating. saw it on the way out of the newsagent (i only look for the "pimp" suv's) and saw the feature. have a look in there if ya game lol

some are more powerful, some are brighter, some are dimmer, but the main varieties are halogen and xenon variety globes. as for power/damage, i have no idea...
btw the foggies and high beams i'm pretty sure are not the same. i dunno about the rest, but the VS uses H3 i THINK for foggies, and something like H4 for high beam, but they are most likely different, or they are for a VS. VT onwards may be different

yeah id say they are different
as for power i know a guy that uses 130watt globes, most are from 55 to 100watts, so i dont think the extra wattage worries them...just as long as its a good brand and they are the same bulb (shape, size, fitting etc)

yes - it melts the ****e out of the plastic lensed VT/VX/VY/VZ headlight.
VS is glass, dunno about VR and back.
If your after a pure white sort of glow I put Narva Plus 50's in my VX and their brighter then the high beam and super white. I cant have the foggies on during the day because they are very bright for on coming traffic and I'm thoughtful for oncoming drivers! You will definately see the improvement. Next time Ive got the Adventra out (with standard globes) and the VX out in the street at night I'll take a pic to compare the 2.
But their an expensive globe ... H1 from memory but I dunno about VT.
That'd be great to see the comparision. So the narva 50's you've got in the SS are the standard specified wattage and size, shape etc??
What about the foggies, what you got in them??
yeh the Plus 50's are used in the headlights (H4 from memory) in the standard Series 1 SS headlights.
Same with the ones fitted to the fog lights. all same wattage only difference is their designed to be whiter of a night. You dont notice the headlights being any different during the day - I tried to get them to give me the blue tinge I wanted so badly but instead it made night driving alot whiter which is more safer.
I'll grab the pics tomorrow, the cars are a bit blocked in at the moment.

I have Xenon 90/100W in my main lights (H4) And Xenon 100W In my high beam (H3) And Xenon 55W in my SS driving lights (H3) Never had a problem with it. Looks 110% better than standard globes. Also have White LED parkers.
can anyone put some pics up of the led brake lights?
I put a set of Narva "Artic Blue " globes in my VX ,and they are a big improvement . They are not Xenon globes but they give off a white / blue light . I bought some for my inboard hi beams and some for my foggies , just have to get round to putting them in
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
Just a couple of question guys if you can help out I would appreciate it.
It seems that the best choise is between Narva and Xenon. Which one and what size watt would best suit me if I want a superwhite color not blue that gives off more light then the stock ones, is not so high on watts that it damages my headlights and isn't so bright that it hurts the other drivers eye when I pull behind one.
Also can I leave the high beams bulbs stock as I dont care if it remains yellow or do they run of the same globe and it gets brighter when you switch the high beams on ?
Finally is it a simple job or does it require the lights to be taken of in order to fit the the bulbs ?
for proper hid xenons your gonna be givving off a **** load if light and its gonna cost you a pretty penny or three. go with narva lights, just do all 4 lights so when you hit the high beams you dont have two white and two yellow
