what spray paint should i use to paint my dash facia, and can someone please leave a detail step by step on removal and painting?
cheers
by a Gregory's manual, tis not that hard. What colour is the car??![]()
Somehow I don't think the Gregorys covers that topic
But, good question. You could just go and attack the facia with a few cans of $2 spray paint, and be VERY disappointed with the result.
Basically, the prep work you do is more important than what paint you use in the end.
Lightly sandback the facia and go over it with prepsol, then a coat or two of a plastic primer. Let dry, and the lightly sand again, and go over with the prepsol once more. Then paint away. I'd suggest a clear coat over top to protect the paint work and it will also help keep it clean.
If you need any more detail, (bit basic, sorry bout that) just ask.

not the painting part but it does show you how to remove the dash![]()
Just had mine painted piano black by a crash shop 4 $80. well worth it
I just used armaol to wipe it down, primed it 2 times and sprayed 4 coats of blue and its still holding up doing the doors next with vinayl spray
I gave a light sand with fine wet and dry.Washed.Then used 2 coats of primer.Used a can of VHT vinyl spray from Autobahn.Lastly use a can of clear coat to really make it shine.Mine has held up for 18 months now no prob and everyone who sees it comments on it.
