Default Vx calais garnish or cv8 monaro lights

Hey guys I have a vx s pack and I'am looking at upgrading the rear

lights to either a vx calais garnish or a set of genuine cv8 monaro lights. I

just want your opinion as to which one would be better and if you have pics

of either option please post I would love to see what it looks like. At the

moment I'am for the calais garnish as I think with the spoiler of should look

pretty good. Take a look at the photos let me know what you think. cheers

    here's mine:

the only advantage of getting monaro lights is the price compared to the VX calais gear

The ones that have been posted up are the Berlina ones, Calais has a chrome strip just over the number plate. Monaro lights would be extra cool if you were planning on converting the front to monaro style as well at some stage. Both options are good though.

Calais garnish all the way mate, will make it look way classier than what the monaro lights ever could

Whack a SS wing on it and leave the lights stock. Best decision I ever made was to stay with the stock lights when my VXII SS was pig rooted. (Monaros were only just released back then).

Ye I would go the calais lights. Monaro stuff is becoming all too common these days. Just take the spoiler of when you put them on. But I have to admit the original cv8 lights look very tuff at night as the circle bits a lighted you would not be able to tell it apart from a is300 from a distance 100-150 metres at night.

Had the same discussion with my friend with a VXSS, at the end we settled to the original setup, reckon looks better then Monaro and the Calais garnish looks heaps classy, as the VX SS is sporty.

I have the Calais lights on mine, will get some pics soon. I like it, even though people say its more classy than sporty, all HSV's have it.
