Default What gearbox Oil (Getrag 5sp V6)

Well in light of my previous thread, it was a gearbox that was dead, ive got another one now, from a vx v6, but its sat in garage for about 3 years~!

I wanna put new oil through it !

What grade of oil do you put in a Getrag, and what kind etc

In the T5's it's best to use synthetic auto gearbox oil like a synth version of dexron iii if you want them to last and shift well. I'm not sure it the getrag likes the same stuff but you can google it

When you are ready to change do yourself a favour- consider PM Lubricants oil without any additive.
It is a mineral oil that carries extremely high loads, which result in less power less before the wheels.
