Well in light of my previous thread, it was a gearbox that was dead, ive got another one now, from a vx v6, but its sat in garage for about 3 years~!
I wanna put new oil through it !
What grade of oil do you put in a Getrag, and what kind etc
In the T5's it's best to use synthetic auto gearbox oil like a synth version of dexron iii if you want them to last and shift well. I'm not sure it the getrag likes the same stuff but you can google it![]()

yeh no **** :my: wen i read wat greenfoam posted i was like its not the same as a t5!!! lol
yeh in mine ive got penrite gear oil light which i think is 80w-85 and then ive got the nulon tranny additive in it seems to run ok but i am thinking of changing to a synthetic oil soon

When you are ready to change do yourself a favour- consider PM Lubricants oil without any additive.
It is a mineral oil that carries extremely high loads, which result in less power less before the wheels.
