Unhappy Knocking sound when pulling into driveway.

Hey all, I have a series 1 VX Commodore, when I go over a large bump "speed hump" or pull into my driveway there is a small knock coming from the front of the car. It sounds to me like its coming from the left side front.
Any ideas what this is? Should I fix it myself or get a professional to do so ?

hey there. it could be your engine mounts, or your front chassis moving around abit. does this sound go away after you exit the speed hump?

Yeah when the car is going in a straight line there are no sounds at all, just when the car is turning while is going over something "drive way" or "speed bump"

Yeah fine on the freeway, when its sitting on 90-100, no worries but when i get to 100-115 she starts to shake abit. it does need a wheel alignment, it could be just that perhaps

its the pin that links the stabliser bar with the front wheels, turn ur wheels full lock to one side and you can see them.

well you just answered your question. its your link bushes. check the " D " bushes aswell. (open bonnet and look between fans and engine. there are 2 bushes that connect the swaybar to the crossmember. ) you can replace just the bushes but your pins could be bent aswell so replace them both sides at a time

no, easy as. (as long as you are confident. if not take to a mechanic) should take you no longer than half hour to do both sides

so is it just a matter of undoing the bolt, pulling the bar off and putting new replacment rubbers in? then just do the bolts back up ?

$1500 is way too much even for a brand new rack.
