    Default VT swaybar links

    I am having trouble replacing my Swaybar link pins. Do both sides have to be jacked up and level for the pins to go in the slot. I seem to remember if both sides are up it helps the cause. I am out by about 1 inch and there is not much room left to jack up. Any advice will help.

    i found one side at a time was easier and too drop the swaybar down on eachside when changing the links and rubbers.

    Default Nearly there

    I have the pin in, but I can't do up the bottom nut because there is not enough thread to catch on to. Is this common.

    You need to have both sides of the car at the same height. Use car ramps if you have any.

    i find the easiest way to do them, is;

    1. jack car up and stands underneath.
    2. take front wheels off.
    3. undo all nuts on both sides.
    4. push sway bar down.
    5. turn steering lock to lock one side will come out on one lock then other side on oposite lock
    6. install new ones with lock to lock.
    7. put all nuts on loosly and only 2 threads.
    8. tighten all nuts up.
    9. fit wheels and lower.

    remember when replacing them that the washers go on the right way around or it will chop the rubbers out quicker.

    the washers go with the cup side towards the nut so the the nut is in the cup of the washer.
