In that case what would be the best OTRCAI for a Gen 3, if SS inductions are crap?

i wouldn't go an SS inductions as i've spoken to too many ppl that hate them and say it hasn't produced any real beneficial results for their cars...

me - i've got the MCAI two hole on my air box (300kw style and k/n panel filter) + 4 inch MAF pipe - granted though mine is a VY2 hsv clubby and it growls enough under acceleration.

recent trip perth to bunbury returned approx 385 395km for 1st half of tank..with a 30knot head wind most of the way...

Yeah i herd that the SS induction kits are not the best for V8's, though V6, they seem to work good, well with my experience anyway

I wouldn't say Air Hog are better than K&N, a cotton cleanable filter is better than a foam one any day of the week. I use a foam Finer Filter, but only because it was cheap.

I have an SS inductions intake and filter on my VX Berlina although a V8. For a filter/intake package that has an appaarent growling noise, it's sure quiet. I also fail to see how it increases airflow when it still feeds air through the same hole and through the hi flow filter.

Having said that, I havent changed it yet to be able to compare it to others on the market, I would save your cash and go one of the other options suggested if its anything like the one I have.
