ticking noise..

hey guys, cars started making a ticking noise when i get to about 50 km/h onwards, from the front end, just wondering what it could be?

If it just developed i would say possibly a leak @ your exhaust manifold or something...

Many things can cause ticking, does it get louder or ticks faster with increase RPM??

yeh as ya get faster it gets faster, as if the belts hitting something like after 50km/k i dont know its kinda hard to explain but the noise drives me crazy

got the same problem mine isnt to loud though do you have an 8 or a 6? minde does it on my 5l

its a 6, more specific its really only in 3rd gear(got an auto), between bout 45-50 and 80km/h, was hoping mayb it had happened to someones and they had a solution...

speedo cable... Possibly speedo gear missing a tooth?

Where does it sound like it's coming from?
