    Exclamation VT on Fire

A couple of quick crappy pictures of a VT or Later I saw on fire on Rode Rd, Northside of Brisbane. Sorry for the quality, but it was a spare of the moment thing. Flames went from front tyre to front tyre and popped them both, and I could smell the burning rubber 1km away as I was approaching it. It does happen!

Dare I say it.... but the cause of that could well have been that wire that burns out on the back of the alternator....

I read about that on the VS's page, but is that a common VT fault too? I suppose it would be being ecotec and all. I'll be checking mine tomorrow now too!

I suspect either that, or it could've been a fuel leak because the flames were literally pouring upward into the engine bay.

Was a damn fine car too but the paints a bit singed on it now.
