Hi,
I'm 17 years old and saving to get a Holden VT commodore. I'v got a few questions though. Whats the differences between all the types of vt's EG, berlina, acclaim ext if anyone could point me out to a website that outlines each mdl that will be great. Also is there any differences between the series one and 2 vt's?
thanks
There is alot of good information on the different models and what you should pay for them on the Redbook site: Red Book AU : Your site for New and Used vehicle prices
Yeah redbook's you best option mate, also been a 17 year old i assume you'll go for a S pac hehehe thats what i did lol
thanks, Yeah im just pretty much wanting to know the idfferences of all the commodre vt modles so I can weight up the benefits agains the price.
Trust me mate if I could find a nice manual VT ill grab it but im not really all the fused about getting a manual or auto, if I get an auto ill almost deffinitly get a stage 2 shift kit for it
How do they automatic vt's go compared to the manual ones? is there alot off difference in power? if I get a manual im planning on putting in a shift kit do you recon it would be worth it?
Well if it was me mate i would defently go for a manual, though then again if you do alot of peak hour traffic driving manual can be anoying, though then again manuals alot more fun so yeah...
Not being Biased... But the Berlina is a good buy, Calais meets Executive meets budget buy.. It's a good buy in the middle the inside is done and you move to the looks and performance side faster
.
But on Manual vs Auto.. My VT I'm sure feels faster then my Old VP both Auto's.

thanks, Yeah ill either go the berlina or acclaim. If I can find a nice manual il get it otherwise looks like ill be getting a auto, can anyone comment on the shift kits?
Yeah most people go with stage 2 shift kits, cost just under $500 for stage2
For firmer and quicker shifts
thanks if I cant get manual il get a shift kit deffinitly,
I'v seen a few vt's with VY ss and clubsport body kits. Is this just a stright swap or is there more involved?
They are a strait swap if you buy one that is made to fit a VT like this one: Sydney Special Vehicles: For Car Body Kits, HSV Parts, Mag Wheels, Tail Lights, Bonnet Scoops and More
