This is from VN_Luke's thread:
* Jack up the rear of your car so both rear wheels are in the air.
* Make sure the car is supported safely and the front wheels chocked.
* Place the car in neutral with the handbrake off.
* Turn one of the rear wheels as if the car is driving forward. If the other wheel turns the same way, chances are you have an LSD - If the other wheel turns the opposite way, chances are you have an open diff.

What happens if you turn a roundabout and as you are almost straight you powerslide? Is this LSD or like some IRS i have seen they hook both up when weight shifts? Or is that LSD?.

An open diff which has been thrashed to hell and back, can begin to fault and will spin both wheels from time to time. It is also possible to have an open diff spin both wheels if the balance of traction between two wheels is just right.
Oh, and you can powerslide out of a roundabout with both an open diff and LSD

An LSD Diff will have a little metal tag on the diff that says 3.07 LSD (for auto). It is on the bolt you empty the oil out of.

Not sure for just the centre, but new LSD , New Gears , New Bearings, full rebuild cost me $1500. Best to change the gears from 3.07 to atleast 3.45 if you are going to be bothered changing to LSD.
