If there is pressure in the line it can be a bugger to get off. But just wiggle it a bit and it should come off.

Push hose forward towards the filter, then press the clips and then pull. You may need to pull hard (the hose that is)

Those clips are a bastard. I ended up cutting them and using normal clamps on it.

hay mate, NO dont cut your clips, just push the clips together, you will notice a little bit of plastic on it that is bumpy, or ribbed, push the plugs hard together, with your fingers, squeeze the plug and the ribbed bit tite, and then give it a pull and it should just come apart easy as that!!!!! but you have to squeeze the plug tight the whole time. if it doesnt work, keep trying, coz it will. it realy not hard at all

What a pain. Going through this now in a VX. I can't believe they didn't just use hose clamps like every other model ever!

The trick is to push the whole clip against the fuel filter body 1stn then the clips have more room to move. Than you just slide the clip off.

Yeah I got it straight away after reading this thread. It's just confusing to look at, not knowing how you're even meant to approach it. I tried a few things gently beforehand and ended up snapping a tiny bit off one side, nothing damaging just a pointless bit. I got annoyed, came inside, searched the forums and read this, it was so simple

if you want to get rid of the pressure take out the fuel pump relay then start the car till it dies then take it off. but the pressure shouldn't be the problem EVER!.... also savage1987 just a question? how many cars have you seen with normal hose clamps on them? cause i haven't seen many at all? do you mean normal clamps as in like heater hose clamps where you use a screw driver or socket to get off?/???

I've got a VX SS same fuel filter setup, but when i went to disconnect it fuel poured out. Does anyone know how much fuel should come out? I did de-pressurise but i had a full tank. I thought mabye it was being gravity feed and was going to drain the tank so i gave up after awhile.
