5" Tach
I have Monster Tacho I want to mount in my VT. This is the first car I've owned with triple ignition coils. As far as I'm aware, the tacho is wired with a ground wire, and the positive and negative wires tied into the + and - of the ignition coil.
Any tips on how to wire this up to a triple coil???

There is a connector for a tacho taped to the main wiring loom in the engine bay, on the passenger side near the firewall. You will need to look carefully because it might be facing the firewall and out of view.

You'll find a few dropkicks on here that will have a go at you for putting it there. Just hit the report button if that happens and we'll deal with them.
You are entitled to have what you like on your car. It might not do anything but side-skirts don't either. They make it look the way you want it, as does a monster.
I had one on an auto and i had reasons for it being there.
Sorry i can't help with the hook-up but goodluck.

Since your car comes with a tacho FACTORY already... you don't even need to run wires into the engine bay... (pain in the arse btw)
All the wires you need are plugged into the back of ur cluster... all you gotta do it tap into them with wire taps...
But DON"T DO IT!! you already got a tacho!
I jst installed shift lights in mine on the a-pillar... much better idea instead of having 2 tacho's...
I used Raptor Shiftlights... good stuff.... if i still had the car i would post some pix but car is gone and the thread i did about installing them is also deleted

Monster tacho's are good for seeing your reflection in while driving.

Nah mate wont delete them because they are at least amusing. The other ones weren't funny. It is at our discretion anyway so cry me a river.
If there is a factory one there i can't see the point other than for looks, but like i said if thats what people like why poo-hoo them for it?
EDIT: without getting into debate we only clean these places up so that members stay and feel safe to ask for advice. For example a member mentioned she wouldn't ask for help on here for the fear of being ridiculed, and comments like the deleted ones make members feel like that. That is why we clean up, it certainly isn't a power trip. I keep it low key; doing it by the rules would have resulted in 3 members getting infractions, i didn't see it necessary though. A power trip would see you gone forever, but that isn't what I'm here for.

Like everyone else has said, you already have a tacho mate. I like stand alone shift lights, but not the huge 5" tacho... looks so stupid.
And is your car manual or auto? if its auto, thats even more stupid. Though if you really want one I dont see the hassle.

Thanks for all your inputs guys. Not even entirely sure I want to put it in, but I thought I would investigate the concept in case I should feel 'stupid' enough.
The likely hood of me going through with it is minimal, so I will probably sell it off. So, if your keen, check the "Parts For Sale" section over the next couple of weeks.
Cheers again
