Default Thermo fans problem

Hi guys, hoping someone can shed some light on a problem i'm having with my VT.
My wife has just come home and switched the car off but the thermo's have stayed on.
I've tried restarting it and checked the temp which is below where they normally come on but it's still on.
I've pulled the relay to prevent the battery going flat but i'm stuffed if i can work out whats happened to cause this problem.
Any help would be appreciated
Steve

Is it only one fan or are both fans going?

It's quite common for the fan relay to stick = new relay required. Swap it w' one from another circuit to check.

Yes, there are 2 relays, high speed and low speed.

Thanks guys, i just went and put the relay back in and it's ok now.
I might get a new one and keep it in the glove box just in case.

The low speed relay is 5 pin, high speed is 4 which may help when buying the new one.
