hey guys just bought a 01 VX s/c v6 commodore and i want to get 19" wheels for it but i wanna know if i'll need to roll the gaurds or anything like that? cheers

Depends on whether you car is lowered and if so, how low. If it isn't lowered you should be alright.

also depends on how wide the wheel/tyres are...doesnt really matter if its a 17 inch, 18, or 19, its how wide they are.

well im looking to get 19 x 8.5, and ill lower it the same time as i get the wheels probly just sl springs, i just dont want the front tyers getting chewed too much

id consider fitting ur wheels before u even thinking about buying springs i dont 19's would fit with SL's , iv got 19's on my VT and lows is as far as i can go down . i think :-/

I had 19" 8.5 wheels on my VT with SL springs, it only rubbed every so often without rolling the guards

just buy the rims cos they will fit no problems, and take them down to the suspension shop when u get it lowered and say; lower it and if they rub fix it for me. i have 19's on the way for my VT 19x8 and im getting gaurds rolled and lowering it

but dosnt that mean ur wheels are covered by ur gards particuly on the back ? thought that was illeagel ?

Dunno why you'd roll the guards. Given the fact that under suspension travel, the tyre moves AWAY from the guard. The scrubbage occurs on the inner wheel well.
