hey mate welcome to JC.

as for your ride if your looking for performance from $2000, go for a set of yella terra high ratio rockers and a decent exhaust system to match. rockers ar about $700 no fitted and extractors about $600, high flow cat $300 and catback $300.

you can make your own cold are intake so u dont have to worry about spending $500 on an SS inductions one and your homemade one will be just as good.

Pedder suspension are a good place to start for lowering. i was quoted $700 for lowered all around and rear camber kit and 4 wheel alignment on my VT series 2. that was at pedders modbury.

good to c another adelaide bloke on here, come out on one of the JC cruises hey.

all the best

Hi there, congrats on your purchase of your very own commie. Now as to your budget, I'm afraid to say that getting 18's and doing engine mods with only $2000 ain't gonna cut it. Please anyone correct me if I am wrong but a set of 18" rims (even second hand) with some new tyres to boot will pretty much cost you around $1500 anyway.

But if you wanna go mods then your standard list applies: YellaTerra Rockers ($700ish), Extractor and exhaust ($700ish), Induction kit (between $300 and $600 depending on who you go with, though if you don't mind, you can actually make your own, there are some threads around here somewhere with instructions). These 3 items will help you on your way to some extra performance, but don't be expecting a rocket ship. Also these set you up for a nice tune later on down the track.

Again anyone, please correct me if I am wrong in any way. And good luck with your commie Nukewun.

-Adrian

Mate just have a look on the YellaTerra website (Yella Terra - Yella Terra high performance engine parts).
What you are looking for are;
YT 6651:Ultra light bolt on non adjustable 1.9:1,
YT 6649:Ultra light bolt on non adjustable 1.7:1,
YT 6650:Ultra light bolt on non adjustable 1.8:1, or
YT 6662:Ultra light bolt on non adjustable 1.95:1

Go the 1.95:1 ratio as this will be the best for performance unless you plan on getting a different cam later on down the track. All the information you will need has already got a thread 1.95 Hi ratio rockers part# this even states the price.
