    Question vt ss traction control

    hi guys just recently bought a vt ss 98 model, and i know the traction controll button came on the series 2 but ive been told series 1 has permanent traction control and cant be turned off , and if so can you install the switch on a series 1 like the ss series 2, i was doing a stanstill and with my foot flat it didnt want to go over 2000 revs any suggestions on whats going on cheers tim

    The good thing about Holden is if they give you t/c they also give you the ability to turn it off unlike alot of Ford models. I think you don't have t/c. Can you hang it out in the wet? If you have t/c the engine power will cut and it will feel like abs through the rears.

    go to the fuse box
    find the traction control fuse
    rip that ****er out
    smoke it up
    no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

    it doent have TC what it is is torque management it stops you from spinning the wheels go and see a tuner

    A little water on an oily road and a VT series 1 Executive will spin like an Amish cotton worker. No T/C...

    Of course, it's one of the only situations where I can manage to get wheel spin on my lazy assed VT.
    I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere

    yeh it sounds like you just need a tune or some mods. My stock VT 6 has no problems spinning both the wheels on the spot, manual though
    no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

    hey guys comp **** it self havnt been on, thanks for that guys, yer it has no traction control prob just needs a tune and some mods. i got a powerchip gold 98 but id like more any suggestions on power increase without spending heaps of cash cheers tim
