hi guys just recently bought a vt ss 98 model, and i know the traction controll button came on the series 2 but ive been told series 1 has permanent traction control and cant be turned off , and if so can you install the switch on a series 1 like the ss series 2, i was doing a stanstill and with my foot flat it didnt want to go over 2000 revs any suggestions on whats going on cheers tim
Not enough power?
Chuck Norris destroyed the periodic table, because he only recognizes the element of surprise
The good thing about Holden is if they give you t/c they also give you the ability to turn it off unlike alot of Ford models. I think you don't have t/c. Can you hang it out in the wet? If you have t/c the engine power will cut and it will feel like abs through the rears.
go to the fuse box
find the traction control fuse
rip that ****er out
smoke it up

Hey every one silly question but do all SII VT SS have traction control buttons??
no button no traction control. simple as that
it doent have TC what it is is torque management it stops you from spinning the wheels go and see a tuner
A little water on an oily road and a VT series 1 Executive will spin like an Amish cotton worker. No T/C...
Of course, it's one of the only situations where I can manage to get wheel spin on my lazy assed VT.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
yeh it sounds like you just need a tune or some mods. My stock VT 6 has no problems spinning both the wheels on the spot, manual though
