    Default Acceleration on VT

    Hey,

My Dad has a 1998 VT Series 1 Wagon on petrol with about 255,785kms on the clock.

just recently Dad put a new re-conditioned engine in, its so far done around 1500-2000 kms.

The real issue is...when I put my foot down on the accelerator, in any condition, it revs really high and gets absolutely no power

    whats the deal?

My old VP Auto slipped when it was going out, Trying climbing a hill when you have no go..
Watch your revs @100 and see if you have trouble holding that speed and if the revs are unusually higher..
That was my first sign of it going 2500rpm @90 OMFG!. Well actually it did a few slips that i didn't pick up on.

What could be better, you get pulled over for doing a skid, the police offer a free adjustment, a couple of good whacks later, the reception is far clearer then ever before.
Nothing like a bit of good old community service.

Hell I used to love giving my TV a kicking when the picture went fuzzy, always worked a treat!

please note, the above was said with sarcasm in mind.
