I have Bridgestone GIII on my 245/45/17s' for a year or so. They drive reasonably well and are fairly predictable. Only complaint, go to the drags and do a few burnouts and they shred quick and little chunks come out of the side blocks.

With tyres you get what you pay for. Having said that there are some great tyres for resonable prices. You'd be hard stretched getting a good 17" tyre for less than $160. I bought Falken ZE326 for $130 each fitted and balanced and they were the biggest load of garbage. I'm now on Kumho KU19 @ $170 each. High silica compund, grips like glue and quiet. Whatever you end up getting, make sure you have no less than three quotes. My kumhos ranged from $170 to $240 each, and no two tyre fanchises will ever give you the same price on the same tyre.

I'm with you on this one. As said above I had the ZE326. All four tyres literally lost their shape making it hard to control on a straight road and very very noisy.

Hey there, i dont know wether this helps but ive worked with, and sold a number of brands of tyres over the years and my opinion is go with Bridgestones. I have been getting some really good kms on the Bridgestone MY01 tyre when i put them on my customers commodores. there a great all round tyre and very competitivly priced, But if your wanting an awesome handling tyre then the Bridgestone Adrenalin RE001 is the tyre for you, theyve just recently released it onto the market and in my opinion better than the bridgestone RE050, but thats only my own opinion
