If you have a look in your owners manual it will have them all listed

My VT Commodore Owners Manual (May 1997, Print 1) only lists wattages, not bulb types.

Besides, this will help those who have lost their owners manual.

Anyone know what type of light bulbs are used in the VT SS and Calais fog lights?

I was watching a VE Omega today in front of me applying its brakes.

Its High Mounted Stop light came on much faster than its rear tail lights. I assume this is the quicker response time on LED's over incandescent bulbs.

Therefore it would be a great safety enhancement IMO to replace your high mount stop light in earlier commodores (actually in all cars) with a good quality, red LED fitting. The quicker light up speed would give the driver behind you a fraction of a second quicker to react to you applying your brakes. And we all know how in an emergency braking situation, reaction time is very important.

Anyone know what globe type is used in the high mount stop lights of older Commodores?

I fitted some Philips Silvervision indicator bulbs to my VT Commodores front blinkers today. They help make the headlights look reflectively brighter and clearer as there is no orange reflection in the lenses from the orange indicator bulb.

These bulbs would be a great choice in VT2 - VE Commodores rear blinkers that have clear lenses with orange bulbs.

Though the bulbs appear silver when off, when they flash they are a bright, DOT legal orange!

they're on the shopping list now....

has anyone else noted that when your lights are off, teh headlights look like they're on? I've been caught a few times cupping my hands over the headlights and peering in, just to check
