Default 3 error codes......fun

Hi All,

Last night while driving, my car stalled.

I pulled over, turned the car off completely then after a few seconds tried to crank and it sounded like the batt was dying coz the sound of the crank sounded like it was in slow motion replay. I turned the key to OFF again and second time around it started, then idled a bit wobbly and after a few revs its was okay.

Got home.....found a paper clip and did the 5 & 6 thingy and i got the following codes:

46
47
92

So, 46 and 47 refer to the crack angle sensor and 92 refers to the fan.

My car is due for its 210,000k service. So ill be doing the normal oil, filer, air filter and plugs (probably the fuel filter). The leads are new bosch ones that i replaced a year ago.

As a first step, what should i do in regards to the crank sensor. Should i pull it out and clean it?? I also read in the VT CD Manual that sometimes the connections are rooted in the back of the BCM or PCM??

And where should i check for error 92?? Faulty fan?? umm WD40 in the bearing of the fan since it may not be spinning therefore telling the computer that there is nothing happening??

So yeah, i need to start somewhere.

Thanks

Eddie S

Your best bet would be to replace the CAS as it is a common fault.
Also replace the Low Speed Fan relay as it also a common fault. Buy the correct relay because it is different from the other relays.

Check ur wires behind these 3 looms they run straight 2 ur ECU inside the car, i had the same problem a while ago got the exact same codes but nether were faulty. All it was a wires behind the grey loom somhow managed 2 get water in the tapped up wires and caused them 2 corrode then they eventually broke 1 day and i couldnt start the car after that.
