From my personal experience, I know for a fact that I have had to do little cleaning of my rims for Bendix Heavy Duty brake pads. I am in the process of getting some more of these for my VT. Quality![]()

Sick of paying too much for high performance brake pads? Want high performance and cold bite with low rotor wear?

All brake pads produce dust, some more than others (Bendix, Ferodo), the ceramic compound of the EBC Greens produces less dust and it is a lighter colour so you don't notice it as much. For even less dust, the Reds are a Kevlar compound, they have bugger all dust. But they are also priced accordingly.

Also comes down to what rotors are on the car. A ceramic pad might produce less pad dust, but a significant portion of overall dust can be generated by the rotor itself.
Are we talking about just a road car here or something with a bit of performance? EBC's just for a road car are probably overkill, and as Bradcad said, QFM's are probably the go through either myself or Not_An_Abba_Fan.

EBC Green-Stuffs eat stock rotors (Acutally, any pad will eat a stock rotor!). I've also found them to be dusty and noisy, same goes for Bendix.
Genuine Holden (Not AC Delco as some dealers carry) pads are pretty dust-free.
However, nothing beats a car that stops well (And Commodores DON'T!!), so I'd go for Green-stuffs all round, with DBA slotted discs front and rear, too. Avoid drilled discs, they crack, and whistle, which ads to the noise.
I dunno about anyone else, but I'd take a car with noisy, dusty brakes over one that doesn't stop too well any day.
dust free?? lol all pads wear u just goto wash your carthat also keeps it in better condition. stops rusting etc etc....
13.3 1/4 exhaust only untuned!
I dont like the look of slotted, drilled only i reckon looks much more purposeful im really only doing these things for looks im never uping the power and im actually quite a sedate driver, So is there a kit which allows you to use a slightly oversize rotor with the original calipers?

sorry abba, didnt realise he was in WA lol
Next time try the QFM HPX's. They are virtually dust and noise free whilst being better than Bendix Ultimates in dust and rotor wear. The Premium Falcon upgrade uses the C5 Corvette Caliper, and we supply the HPX DB7599 to the local Ford dealers and now they won't fit anything else for the above reasons.

As it happens, I have the QFM front and rear pads in stock at the moment for a VX, postponed from someone else.

QFM- Queensland Friction Material, probably why brad is so biased hehe, only kidding, nah i used Ferodo excel, absolute ****, black, rotor killers. Put QFM on the front and bendix ct on the rear and the rear dust up more than the fronts ! With Ferodo it was black nearly next day, QFM stays clean for weeks. As its ceramic only light brown dust, the black dust is the killer.
Another pad you gotta try are the new Lucas TRW pad. Made especially for no dust. Quite and excellent pad. Bendix, Ferodo etc. Bendix Heavy duty are good, but need warm up when cold as full of metal. QFM have slight grind on first 10 seconds, say reversing out of driveway, you can notice its clay base feel, but it bites immediately and in my sometimes hours of driving, even in summer not once have i got brake fade.
The best thing about the QFM as well is i pad under $45 for the front set.
Are you saying I'b biased towards anything QLD made? What gives you that impression......lol
