I was driving along yesterday and tryed to wind my window down when the glass just fell straight into the door.
I took off the door trim and found that the two smaller arms had come off the bigger arm and the bigger arm had popped out of the bar on the bottom, i pushed the big arm back onto the glass but the small ones are completely out of there, Does anyone know if i have to buy a whole new one or is there a thread on how to fix this as the commodore manual doesnt seem to have much on the windows?
Please help me I cant drive with my window up![]()

Your window regulator has collapsed, so you require a new one.
If you plan on doing it yourself, get hold of a pneumatic rivit gun, and some big-arse rivits.
Holden have the proper rivets for $2 each, not cheap for a rivet. The Gregory's manual explained it well enough for me to be able to do it.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Also get new guides too. They are the plastic crap things that the smaller arms hold the window with. Don't forget to lube them with silicon grease.
Or take the mechanism out and tap the 4 rivet holes out to 6mm and use 4 standard bolt with washers like the others in your door that hold in the window track etc ...you can put nuts on the as well to make sure it never comes out again...worked for me in my vr....couldnt be too different in a vt
