Question VT Commodore Cigarette Lighter Problem?!?!?

    Posted for MissHoldenGirl

Hey people... This is my first time on so I hope I do this right and everyone can understand what I am trying to say...
I currently own a VT S-Pack Sedan. The lighter is set into the lower dash just behind the automatic transmission [Below stereo, not the standard ****ty one that comes with, I had a Clarion fitted ].

Somehow I have managed to unscrew the damn thing and now it is disconnected from the wiring located BEHIND the dash... I have tried to take the trim off, and get my hand in behind it to re-screw it back in but there is a metal grid in the way and I can't reach it... I AM HOPING THAT SOMEONE OUT THERE KNOWS HOW I CAN FIX MY BABY VT's Lighter... I just want it back in showroom condition... Post back if anyone has any ideas on how I can do this without having to completely remove the dash.. CHEERS PEEPS!!

You will have to remove the console cover.

This happened to me, I took the centre console out and fixed it, has never happened again since.

Everytime the thing would unscrew it would blow a fuse and the sunroof would close. ( it is wired into the cigarette lighter. )

On the upside, you get to give it a really good vacumm when you pull the centre console out. Do it when you have time as it takes a while and you won't be tempted to rush and snap something.
