I bought my car about 2 months ago and noticed that when i turned corners or braked even slightly the front brakes would squeel so last weekend i bought a new set and changed them and its still doing the same thing.
The 1 thing i noticed is that the old pads didnt look worn at all? Did i put them in wrong or is there a special technique

You should have replaced the discs if they were below minimum thickness or got them machined if they were within specifications and then bed them in properly.

yeh sometimes the rotor is just as much the cause of the squeeking as the pads are
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
if you replaced the pads allready get the rotors machined asap or you will wear the pads to the taper of the rotors, t
he squeek will most likely not go until the rotors have been machined as you have introduced a flat surface against a worn, out of shape surface
