Ok did a data search and came up with 373 examples with a "P" prefix on the engine. There may have been many more than this - but this is the total I've found to date.
From car serial number 238496 which was the VT pilot stage in June 97 to 453945 around April 99.

Wahoo!! thanks for that, i would still like to know how many were sold in nz, i asked hsv nz but they are abit clueless on the history aspect of hsv's, also havinh trouble with the self levelling suspension, is it worth getting it sorted or shall i just replace it with new shocks and springs, it will be having abit of track time once a month or so. I want to lower it so it sits low and level plus camber kit.
Any ideas???
