    Default worn tyres

Hi Guys, Mt VT wagon runs 235/45/17's the rear wear evenly everytime however the front drivers side scrubbs out on the inside edge very quickly, have had 2 wheel alignments and doesn't seem to improve anything the passengers front wheel wears evenly. Any ideas?

    Thanks Dave

the only thing that i have been told is the castor bushes are worn but they wouldn't affect camber

OK , get a mate to drive your car at about 5 kph then hit the brakes but don't take his foot of the pedal . Have a look at the gap between the front of the wheel arch and the tyre , then get mate to take foot of brake pedal and see if the front wheel moves forward , It will only move a couple of mil.If it does you need to replace your caster bushes. These bushes have fluid in them and tend to leak .so under cornering and braking you get excesive toe out which wears out the inside edge.I replaced mine with Nolathane units $180.00 a pair . Takes about an hour and they come with spacers which is good if you have lowered suspension . P.M me is you need any info . I took some pics to do a " How to " but haven't got around to doing it .
