Replacing Interior

looking around I saw companies selling leather and vinyl seat covers for VL - VX commodores. They say it is easy DIY to remove existing cloth seats and replace with custom made leather/vinyl interior they are selling costs between $500 - $700 to buy. Was wondering if anyone out there has replaced their car seats (not with just covers) and if it is easy DIY i.e simple with no tools needed (as the company advertising says).

Can't say ive got experience with one.. Have you found out how much getting your seats properly re-trimmed in leather would cost? its an idea im toying with at the moment..

Thanks for the reply....um never considered getting them properly retrimmed but from what ive heard it can cost anywhere up to a couple of grand to have done and you have to be careful who you choose to do it to. If its something resonably simple I would do it myself, as im trying to keep the cost down.
