Default VT cut out problem

ok I am having a few problems with my 97 VT.

*Sometimes when I get in the car it won't start for about 10min
*Sometimes when driving slow in traffic or sitting at traffic lights the car cuts out and the steering wheel kind of locks up, when driving in one lane traffic that is moving at a slow pace it can be really hard not to create a accident
*Then it takes like 10min for it to start again after cutting out

I had these problems a while ago aswell as all the dash lights coming up and not going away so I took it to the mechanic and he replaced the abs module, the dash lights don't come up anymore but this problem still happens with cutting out and not starting

has anyone had these problems before and would know what I have to do to fix them?

Thanks

Had the exact same problem in my VT II mate and I ended up replacing the Crank Angle Sensor ..... was about $65 from Holden.

Easy enough to do, you nee to remove the fan belt, harmonic balencor and the sensor is just behind it. If this happen again, pore cold water over the harmonic balencer and you should be right ..... these things are a barsted for heasking down under heat!

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers, Chris.
