Hey all, hoping you can help.
I have a 1999 VT Calais. The other day I pulled up, dropped it into park, and left it running for about 2 mins. I got back in, placed my foot on brake and put it in reverse and the brake pedal started vibrating very fast making a rrrrrrrrr! sound!!
Any ideas??
Anything!
Cheers all, Mick.
Was the noise only for about a second and not real loud?
The ABS sysytem does a check each time it is driven, this can sometimes be felt as a pulsating in the brake pedal and also the noise you described. I'm surprised you haven't felt it before.

MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Yeh it was only for a second, but It was loud enough to hear. Makes sense though what your saying. But I havn't felt it before, and have only had it once since...
Cheers mate...
The brake lines running under your fluid reserviour have plastic clamps to dampen this groaning.
It is possible one has popped off a little.
Worth a look.
Better the Devil you know!
