HEY ive just changed my clutch master on my vt 5litre and cant work out how to bleed it can some on please tell me exactly how
It's been along time since I had a clutch but it's just a matter of getting someone to pump the clutch pedal a few times and then hold it in while you undo the bleeder valve on the slave cylinder, let the air out and then tighten the valve before the assistant releases the pedal. Keep doing that until it is firm. Keep the fluid level at least 3/4 full during the entire procedure. Put a hose on the bleeder valve so you can direct the fluid into a container. It's just like bleeding brakes.
You can get a special bleeder hose so you can do it without an assistant.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
If you are trying to attempt this yourself go to repco etc and buy a bleeder kit with a one way valve in it,this lets you pump the pedal and top up the master cylinder by yourself.
