Hope someone can help?
Recently I've noticed my VX calais (2001) has developed a high pitched whine when turning corners. It sounds power steering related. I've also noticed it only does this after the car has warmed up.
Is this normal, or a sign that something's not right?
Thanks
The obvious thing would be to check your steering fluid level. The reservoir bottle has markings for hot and cold levels. Apparently developing small leaks is quite common and the level can drop. Make sure you top up with the correct type of fluid.
yeh would be low fluid i'd say
"A life lived in fear is a life half lived"
Also check your fluid when the noise is present, assuming the level is okay, and look for air in the fluid. Could suggest a loose hose or air entry problem.
