Hi Guyz,
I have a 1998 VT Executive (November build).
While driving the car has stalled/turns off and returns to the accessories mode a few times over the last couple of months.
It went for a while without stalling, but did again the other day. Usually, the car will not start for a few turns over (keeps trying to crank over) after this happens, but then starts fine.
Could this be caused by an alternator or starter motor fault? The car runs a powerful system... maybe it's on it's on the way out?
Or is my tranny on the way out... ?
Thanks.

Check the state of your battery, electrolyte etc.
Then check the alternator, the carbon brush could be worn and may need replacing. The carbon brush and regulator assembly isn't expensive to get...about $20 from Coventrys.
If all else fails, get your injectors checked and cleaned.
Thanks, the injectors are brand new, only replaced them a few months ago myself.
I went to the mechanics and he hooked up the computer to my car, no faults at all, but he said that the crank angle sensor may be failing...?
I've checked the service manual for my model and am still unsure... thanks though.
