Does anyone know if it is possible for the engine warning light to illuminate without a fault code being logged?
The reason I ask is, I bought a scantool a few months ago and tried it out and it seemed to work ok. It said there were no fault codes, which was fine. Yesterday, after giving the brake system a flush, the engine warning light came on (maybe a coincidence) and now it stays on all the time. I connected the scantool and it still says there are no fault codes, so I don't know if there is a problem with the scanner or something else is wrong.
Anyone have any ideas?
