hi i have never instaled a gauge before and my instructions i have are not helpful. any hep would be much appreciated thanks
yeah me too. i know some guys from JC have done it before. instrcutions would be great!
Most L67 owners are hooking the boost line up to the front of the Lower Intake Manifold under the snout of the charger. If you look under the snout where it joins the housing there is a little black rubber plug about 1cm in length and 5mm diameter.
Might be easier to unhook the charger drive belt to get to it then just remove the plug and slip on the boost feed hose that goes to your guage. Of course the hose isn't connected to the guage at this stage. It will be a tight fit, that's what you want.
Then route the hose back (next to the fuel rail to keep it tidy?) to the firewall on the drivers side and there is a oval grommet under the brake booster. Pop a hole in it and feed the boost feed through there back to where the guage is. I dropped the fuse panel and fed it through under the steering column to the guage.
i want mine under the ash tray where the dodgy fake lighter is, would i b able to feed it through there with out drilling or anything, as mouting them on the piller near the windscreen is cop bate and i want to keep it a sleeper so i want it look like its sleeping 24/7
i hooked myn up to i think its the fuel pressure regulator it works fine
Tee'd off the fuel rail's can give a bit of laggy readings, it would only be marginally better off the LIM tho. Ive heard from other people you could run into trouble if its off the fuel line ect. just safer tee'd off the LIM imo.
Also, anyone know a shop that will sell the pod holders, whether it be bolt down types or very very sticky base's?
autobahn bro have pod holders adapters evrything you need man. allso should we using turbo timers in our s/c commys i have herd mixed views on this can any body shed some light on this for me thanks
ill get pics of myn today 4 u it works fin and ive seen other ppl do it on here
looking foward to seeing the pics m8
same here mate i know charg'd (brent)has done it to his XU6 maybe he can help us!
I mounted mine on the steering column cover above the wiper stalk. It is legal and no one can see it unless they are peering into the car and it is actually in view when you are driving. The best thing is if I want to remove it is the column cover only costs $15 to replace.
can you post me a pic up i dont know exactly what you mean i sort of do but im not 100% and it sounds like a good idea
hey guys btw does it matter whether its measured in BAR or PSI?
Cheers
psi, put my gauge in yesterday its maxes out at 7 pound as expected, does any one know if ill get more psi from the hsv memcal?

Their press on pulley is about $120 and you need to get hold of a tool to remove the stocker and press on the YT one. 87mm is what you're after. The ECU will adapt to the boost levels perfectly. Cooler plugs with a smaller gap and some 98 octane are what you will need though. You wouldn't believe the improvement![]()
hey blwnvt
just wondering how u went installing the gauge? was it easy? wondering how hard it is to do the wiring? where did u hook it up to?
tips and pics would be great...
I have a electronic boost gauge.. would that be any different?
too many questions
Cheers mate!
i hooked myne up to the Lower Intake Manifold, i got autobahn to to do it 4 me, i allways run myne on shell premium (i think its called vortex) goes way better i find i get better economy out of it i couldnt get to a shell the other day so i put bp premium in it and found it burns to quike no economy wats so eva, no idea on the eloctronic gauges bro ask autobarn, hey chargedvx wich pulley you replace or is just one? i know a palce in port melbourne that hires the tool for 120 bucks for the day, what you mean cooler plug you mean an intercooler and some high preformance plugs? allso have you boosted your beast man? i herd that if you take the engine cover of the charged ts and xs that they run better beacause the cover holds to much heat, n e way enuff of me im rambling cheers

1st thing I did was piff the engine cover, the M90 looks good. Cooler plugs help once the boost is increased, a smaller gap is good to at 10psi (6ish stock). These plugs are good once the boost is raised with or without an intercooler.
I tried the 82mm pulley but came to the conclusion that it needed a tune to get the best from it plus it chewed way too much juice. 86mm/87mm is great.
pm sent
autobarn charged 50 bucks man its nothing bro only took 45 mins to install, so with the new plugs xu6 chip and yt pulley how much more power gain am i looken at and how much liters per 100 ks am i going to use as atm stock uses 14 ltrs per 100 ks the s/cs are thirsty camals
