I am looking at selling my VX SS Ex-chaser as I have only driven it about 10 times in the last 8 months. What are they worth now, I paid $16,500. I has brand new 45 series tyres and runs well. Around 95,000 on the clock.
I'd say between 13K and 15K mark. Since it got quite low kms for this model.
Also it better be in good condition as well for those prices.
I may be wrong, check redbook.
i'd say it's worth about the 16-19 mark but check carsales for other similar prices...
Auto or Manual?
Auto $13-15k
Manual $16-19k
fuel prices are whats deterring people from even looking.
I tried to sell my VX Exec about 12 months ago when fuel was cheaper then it was today, and it didnt create much attention because many people thought it was a V8 and I had mis typed V6
95 000 on an ex chaser, you havent been driving it much have you![]()
All us guys with v8 commodoreds are going to have a lot of trouble selling our cars, with the price of petrol on the increase. I've been looking through carsales and some real nice VY SS's are still on carsales and have been for months. I guess the only exception to this is HSV senators, grangers, GTS that attract people with more $$$ and are willing to pay to run them.
Thanks for the replies guys, appreaciated.
Fuel cost are not a real problem with a V8 when driven carefully, I still get 9 litres/100 clicks and generally better even when towing. My VR wagon gets a lot higher figures than the V8.
Torquative: in answer to your question, NO it does not get driven as much as I would like, about once a month for about 100kms. That is why I am toying with selling.
It is an automatic gated back to 2nd.
I have a mate who has access to the dealers side of Red Book, will have a look there.
