strange brake light prob

wandering if u guys can help,,my brake lights on my vt r only working when my lights r turned off,,soon as i turn lights on i got no brake lights,,b ok if i was only driving in the day time,,,

Do you have single filament globes in there?

are they dull when working? does your parkers come on when brakes work? sounds like there is no earth at the lights so its pulling through the parkers but when parkers are on it cant pull through parkers so wont work.

what are the chances that a towbar has just been fitted to this vehicle?

I had a similar problem, replaced my looms and fixed the problem.

Brakes started to stay on also, which was the brake switch

na took to bar of agaes ago,,yes think its a earth problem and yes got double filim in them,,
